Accelerate the leadership development of thousands of men across the country, through a combination of direct instruction and overnight, team-based endurance events.
F3 is a national non-profit organization that exists to help men become better leaders in their communities. The primary tool we use is free, outdoor bootcamp-style workout groups. There are over 3,000 F3 workouts per week across the US.
Building on the foundation of those community-based bootcamp workouts, we developed other programs to accelerate leadership development. One such program, called GrowRuck, is a unique, fully immersive, life-altering training and development experience.
Each GrowRuck event includes classroom training on leadership principles, and a 12-15 hour overnight team-based endurance event. Each participant carries their own backpack (or ruck) with 40-50 pounds of weight and gear - all night (usually 15-20 miles of total distance). Participants must work as a team, and employ the leadership principles learned in the earlier classroom sessions to complete various objectives, including long distance, coordinated movements with heavy objects (think telephone polls, 100-pound sandbags, and large cinder blocks).
I serve on the team that executes these events across the country, designing physical training programs, delivering classroom leadership instruction, and actively participating in the overnight rucking events.
F3 workouts are:
Open to all men.
100% free.
Peer-led (led by men who are doing the workout alongside you - no professional certification necessary).
Always held outdoors, rain or shine.
Concluded with a circle of trust (one man speaks from the heart for 30-60 seconds).
